Cancellation

At MonkMedia, we are committed to delivering high-quality video marketing and brand storytelling services. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which refunds or cancellations may be requested and processed.

By making a payment for our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this policy.

1. Cancellation Policy

1.1 Cancellation by Client

Clients may request cancellation of a project in writing (email or WhatsApp) at any stage. The refund amount depends on the stage at which cancellation is requested:

Stage of Cancellation Refund Eligibility
Before project commencement (within 24 hours of payment) 100% refund of advance paid
After project commencement but before 25% completion 50% refund of advance paid
After 25% project completion No refund on advance; balance invoice adjusted proportionally
After final delivery or approval No refund

1.2 Cancellation by MonkMedia

MonkMedia reserves the right to cancel a project if:

  • The client fails to provide required materials or approvals within agreed timelines
  • Payment obligations are not met
  • The project scope or client requirements involve content that is illegal, unethical, or violates our policies

In the event of MonkMedia-initiated cancellation for reasons not attributable to the client, a full refund of payments made will be issued within 7–10 business days.

2. Refund Policy

2.1 Eligible Refunds

Refunds will be processed in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate payment made by the client (full refund of duplicate amount)
  • Payment charged but service not initiated within 7 days of scheduled start
  • Project cancellation within 24 hours of payment before commencement
  • MonkMedia is unable to deliver the agreed service

2.2 Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • Client dissatisfaction after approving deliverables at each milestone
  • Change of mind after project work has commenced
  • Delays caused by the client (e.g., failure to provide assets, feedback, or approvals on time)
  • Completed and delivered projects
  • Rush delivery fees, third-party costs, or software licences purchased specifically for the project

2.3 Refund Process

To request a refund, please contact us with the following details:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Order ID / Payment reference number
  • Reason for the refund request

All refund requests are reviewed within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method via Cashfree Payments within 7–10 business days, subject to your bank's processing time.

3. Payment Disputes

If you believe an incorrect amount has been charged, please contact us immediately at Nikhil@monkmedia.io with your payment reference. We will investigate and respond within 3 business days.

Please do not initiate a chargeback without first contacting us. Unresolved disputes may be escalated through Cashfree Payments' dispute resolution mechanism.

4. Service-Specific Notes

For monthly retainer services (content management, YouTube management), the following applies:

  • Cancellation must be requested in writing at least 15 days before the next billing cycle
  • No refund for the current month's retainer if work has already commenced
  • Unused retainer days are not refundable
